Summer Stories - Delphiniums

I love painting Delphiniums. They take me back to summers spent in the French countryside. For this one I did an underpainting with an alcohol wash on Multimedia Pastel Panel. When pastel is dissolved it becomes much like watercolour and you can get beautiful drips and runs and an interesting background.
